Second stage of the From The Earth To The Spheres split series.

Thuja can be considered the project which originated the San Francisco based Jewelled Antler Music, one of the most interesting and active avant-rock improv ensembles to date, as well as a self-run label releasing their several side-projects (The Blithe Sons, The Franciscan Hobbies…). Co-founders Loren Chasse (Of, Coelacanth) and Glenn Donaldson (Mirza, Sky Green Leopards) have both developed impressive soloist careers: Donaldson as Birdtree and Ivytree, Chasse as one of the finest audiovisual artists performing in art gallery-spaces throughout the world. Joined on this track by co-founder Rob Reger and collaborator Greg Bianchini, The Magma Is The Brother Of The Stone is one of the most adventurous and hypnotic works in their whole discography.

My Cat Is An Alien keep their alien explorations up, starting with scanning Earth’s surface with obscure and scattered drones, while faraway heartfelt sounds toll the knell: it’s the world collapsing into silence... When The Earth Whispered Your Name is a new departure towards the void of the cosmos, where the high-frequency ectoplasms sound no more like howls, but like a more and more intimate blues.
