Fisk Industries recalls an idyllic sun-drenched weekend holiday with friends on the Isle Of Wight. Field recordings combine with dreamy analog synths and low basslines, sweeping you along on a gentle current before the crunch-laden heavy drums kick in and you find yourself completelty immersed.
Reminiscent of the simplistic beauty of Isan, and the carefree naivette of Boards of Canada, this debut EP by Fisk Industries is a carefully constructed and presented, tightly produced slice of warm electronica.
"Six appealing tracks which weave vaguely Radiophonic analogue synth noises through satisfyingly kinetic crunchy beats. Every track is urged forward by tastily treated breaks and given weighty ballast by generous swathes of cybernetic low end." The Wire, Jan 2004
"Warm electronica they call it, absolutely fabulous we call it. Reminiscent of the math rock of Boards Of Canada, yet as emotionally involving as the collected works of Eric Satie, it's convoluted, clever, involving, and... and... words fail me. If you think you don't like electronica, you really should hear this; it's the sound of worlds collapsing." Logo Magazine
