The sixth installation of Andy Vaz's Sound Variation series released on [---], Andy's nameless label.
As the name of a record label usually represents a specific genre of music Andy chose to keep the label nameless to avoid any stylistic expectations or limitations to the music. Likewise the Sound Variation series are titled numerically to eliminate any preconceptions of their content and the tracks are untitled.
Andy writes:
"This series shall not be associated with any specific production style, and the musical vision shall not be limited by expectations based on a record label's, static, given name.
The sound can be defined by the criteria of one's imagination constrained only by the definition of it being 4/4 based electronic music without following any clearly defined linear sound aesthetic or concept.
Sound Variation is based on the use of the same sounds, re-used throughout the entire EP, giving each track another musical approach by pushing each instrument in a different compositional direction by re-arrangement, toneshifting and adding/changing effects in order to demonstrate that a defined production criteria brings forth maximal results through the process of limitation within a lo-fi aesthetic.
Result: musical freedom."
