When the world last heard of Klaus Ammitzbøll of Symptoms, it was with the simultaneous internet release of three albums. Not one to rest on his laurels, Klaus is back with a two-album release, bringing his total album count up to seven.

The first album is Calm. Its basic musical idea is that of balance through movement, as with a cradle rocking, or a missile speeding. It is frequently aggressive, heavily percussive, and meditatively repetitive, like raindrops falling on the mind. To elevate the aggression still further, Calm employs the talents of Mew drummer Silas Graae, whose relentless and inventive drumming graces three tracks.
