Alog is Espen Sommer Eide and Dag-Are Haugan, both from Tromsø in the far north of Norway. Most tracks come from improvisations made with various reed, percussion and string instruments, as well as electronic keyboards and field recordings. The results are then manipulated in different digital and analog ways. Espen also records and performs as Phonophani.

Fascinating compositions. One of 1999's most exciting releases. Osloposten, NO

Innovative, exciting, timeless and beyond classification. Dagsavisen, NO

Truly something else. Comes highly recommended. Gränslöst, SE

A thoughtful, surprising CD; a low-key, subtle and convincing journey. Hyperreal
