Burial genetically modify the original dark swing code of dubstep mapped out by the likes of Steve Gurley and El-b. Luscious grime-fuelled 2step syncopations emerge from urban smog with subliminal melodies drenched by ominous dread, while deep-fried lovers rock beamed back from 2012 crackles across the gap between underground garage and Berlin dub, casting audio spectres of rhythm and sound on amphetamine.
