MURCOF summer festival appearances
Fernando Corona (aka Murcof) has confirmed a host of festival appearances and other special events this spring/summer. Kicking off on Saturday 10 May in Italy, Corona reunites with the stunning visuals of Italian duo xx + xy at the Dissonance Festival. Other festivals include Montreal’s Mutek and Bristol’s Venn, the latter consisting of two shows taking place at the Explore Planetarium. This is the latest in a series of planetarium-based shows that has taken Corona from Greenwich to Vilnius to Berlin to Brussels. The planetarium's 3D projections of the sky at night will be augmented by Joanie Lemercier's interactive light sculptures.

This event is part of the audio/visual programme Evolution 2008, and also includes a the first performance of Mira Calix’s new live soundtrack (commissioned by Opera North) and the screening of a short film entitled ‘Monroc’ by Michaela Grill and Martin Stewart.
