Lothar Ohlmeier / Isambard Khroustaliov - Nowhere

One of the most insightful and thought provoking electro-acousic duos to have appeared over the last few years, their debut release is the culmination of 3 years spent exploring the realms of improvised music and live electronics.

"The level of symbiosis between the two musicians is such that the boundaries of their respective interactions is at times blurred, but even when the roles are clearly defined, the work remains dense, coherent, and of very high standard, making this record an unmissable experience. Album of the month." The Milk Factory

"On the opening Haze, the bass clarinet is completely hidden, to begin, obscured by sonic transformation, frosted twists and clinging gauze-tones, with reed-matter gradually peeking through as the piece progresses. It’s a slow motion growth, with clicks and breath-wheezes magnified for a massive sound-stage. This music is always aurally compelling, but also has bonus aspects within the realms of tactile sensation and visual fantasy." BBC

"Excellent, like discovering new life in the back garden." Plan B Magazine

Arthurs.Høiby.Ritchie - Explications

This exciting trio features three of the UK’s most sought after musicians, Tom Arthurs, Jasper Høiby and Stuart Ritchie. All have their own separate projects but came together as Arthurs.Høiby.Ritchie in 2005. Their debut album, explications is simply one stage of what promises to be an exhilarating and ongoing journey for this fearsome trio.

"If there was ever any question that trumpeter Tom Arthurs was a world-class talent, then Explications leaves us in no doubt" Jazzwise

"tough discipline handled with verve and intelligence, most exciting record of the season." Jazz Review
