A HAWK AND A HACKSAW session on BBC Radio 1

A Hawk And A Hacksaw recorded a session at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studios when they visited London last week. The session was recorded by Jeremy Barnes and Heather Trost with Balázs Unger, a member of The Hun Hangár Ensemble who toured with AHAAH earlier this year.

The six session tracks will be split between Rob Da Bank's Radio 1 show and Stuart Maconie's FreakZone, on BBC 6 Music. The former will go out in the early hours of Monday morning. The show runs from 0000-0200 on Monday September 16, and you will be able to listen back to the show for 7 days afterwards. To do this and find out more, use the following link.

We will let you know details of the Freakzone session as soon as we have a confirmed transmission date.

'God Bless The Ottoman Empire' is released as a download only single on September 24. An exclusive live track combining a Hungarian traditional song and a track from AHAAH's The Way The Wind Blows will also be available.

'Vereb/The Sparrow' was recorded live at Glatt & Verkehrt Festival in Austria earlier in the summer.
