John Levy, an ethnomusicologist from London, took refuge in Tibetan Buddhism. Thus he had the opportunity to capture, using his stereo Nagra field recorder, these ancient rituals, even the most sacred, in the principal Dzongs (great fort-like monasteries) and temples in Bhutan during the early seventies.

Anyone who has heard these recordings will acknowledge that there's nothing more powerful, more prodigious and pure than this collection.
