About Crackle

Nick Doyne-Ditmas (bass) –since working with acclaimed avant-jazzers Pinzki zoo in the mid 80's has been a mainstay of the south London music scene for many years, collaborating many times with drummer Charles Hayward [My Secret Alphabet + Where Is Chaos Now (sub rosa)] and with artists/bands as diverse as H2C7, Charles Stuart, Skip Macdonald, & K-Scope. He is currently involved with Shape Moreton, Charles Hayward’s first major group project since This Heat and Camberwell Now, and Monkey Puzzle Tree (feat. C. Hayward and Viv Corringham).

Frank Byng (drums) -currently leading up afro-kraut collective Snorkel as well as filling the drum seat for Robert Logan’s and Charles Stuart's live bands, he has worked with the likes of Barry Adamson, Ayub Ogada, Spectre, & 1 Giant Leap. His training included studying traditional music with members of the Pan African Orchestra and Farafina in West Africa, and jazz with legendary Sun Ra drummer Clifford Jarvis. He is a co-founder of Slowfoot records and works as its musical director and in-house producer.

CRACKLE to support BARRY ADAMSON

Crackle have been asked to support Barry Adamson on his UK tour from 31 March to 10 April. The Slowfoot guys have also added a launch gig on the 11th April at The Adelaide, London aswell, with Viv Corringham/Peter Cusack duo supporting.
