(Pinkflag) Releases

Between May 1990 and the same month in 1996 Wir(e) shrank to a 3 piece spelt '''Wir''' (but still pronounced ''Wire'') after drummer Robert Gotobed (''né'' Grey) famously took a break.

The band released one studio album, ''The First Letter'' in 1991, and one associated single, ''So And Slow It Grows'', as well as playing a number of dates including Reading Festival.

By 1992 the band had become an element in the ''I Saw You'' performances culminating in the final show in Vienna in February 1993 during which visit the ''Vien'' sessions were recorded at the ORF.

In May 1996 Wire became again a 4 piece for the Southbank performance which marked Bruce Gilbert's 50th Birthday.
