(Static Discos) Releases

The San Francisco based duo of Pepito consists of Ana Machado from Mexico and Jose Marquez from Cuba. Together they produce tightly wound electronic music that layers pop, house, disco, post-rock and punk music into a crunchy, rhythmic joy ride.

Their first release, Migrante (2002) earned them Best New Band at the 2002 Latin Alternative Music Conference in NYC. In late 2003, they released an EP of remixes on the Barcelona-based Alku label.
